Wordpress PHP tags/functions
One of the major stumbling blocks for many wanna be wordpress coders is getting comfortable with the wordpress php tag system. It may be easier for those who already have php experience, but for the average HTML coder who has never delth with content management system(CMS) integration is could prove a little bit of a challenge.
I’ve prepared a few lessons to help you become familiar with the wordpress tag/function, something you will have to become really intimate with if you’re ever to reach wordpress guru status. It’s not that difficult though when you get the hang of the way the tags open & close and the different parts which make up pretty much every default wordpress tag/function.
The image on the left gives you a quick overview of the anatomy of a wordpress tag including the php container, the function(bloginfo) and the parameter part. The next lesson we’ll start unpacking some of the essential tags which makes a simple wordpress site tick.
The guys over at DBS interactive have created a pretty cool page which details the majority of the wordpress tags/functions needed to build highly functional wordpress themes.
